Life in Darkness was founded from a single conviction: that emotional and cognitive capacity should never be a luxury reserved for those who can afford it, especially for the people who respond to crisis, the young people rising into it, and the households that hold the line through it.
Its founder, Yvonne G. Hall, is a curriculum developer, applied behavioral researcher, and NAMA CAMS-II Certified Anger Management Specialist with training in technology, social and political science, and psychology. She has led initiatives across both the private and nonprofit sectors, including work with at-risk populations and service as a former Guardian ad Litem in Florida and California courts.
Yvonne is also the Founder and CEO of EQGenix Inc., the emotional and cognitive wealth advisory firm whose frameworks and instruments Life in Darkness licenses. She is a federal prime applicant with applications pending before the Department of Justice (OVW, COPS) and has submitted Sovereign Shield™ for California POST certification review. Across both organizations, her leadership brings private-sector rigor, structure, and accountability into community-facing work.
Married, a mother of seven, grandmother of twelve, and a woman of faith, Yvonne's life work centers on walking alongside people in their hardest moments — not to fix what is broken, but to help them build what comes next.
